Myrtle Beach Holiday Events
There is plenty to do in Myrtle Beach this holiday season.
The 29th Annual Dickens Christmas Show and Festivals are being held November 11-14, 2010. The event authentically recreates 19th century London with all the warmth and merriment of Christmas during the time of Charles Dickens. Visitors will discover a Victorian Holiday Marketplace complete with more than 350 period clad vendors, with fine arts, crafts, gifts, decors and toys for sale. The location of the event is the Myrtle Beach Convention Center, with the Sheraton Hotel right next door. Cost of admission is $8 for guests 13 and older, $4 ages 2-12 and a multiday pass is $12.
The Nutcracker Fair at The Market Common takes place November 27 & 28, 2010. It is a fun Thanksgiving weekend event that ushers in the holiday season in Myrtle Beach. An array of retail and food vendors will be features, as will activities for children and entertainment for all attendees.
The 2010 Christmas Towne comes to the area on Sunday, December 12, 2010 at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center. Free photos with Santa and Mrs. Clause will be available, as will various activities, games for kids and live entertainment. The theme for this year’s event is “Winter Wonderland” and it also serves as the official tree lighting ceremony for Myrtle Beach. It is free to the public.
